About the Festival
The Taung Cultural Calabash Festival began in 1994 as a one-day event. Today it is a major provincial celebration of heritage and creativity rooted in the North West Province.
Our History
From the birthplace of the famous Taung Skull, the festival has grown into a powerful showcase of arts and heritage. Now in its 30th year, TCC continues to uplift artists across the province.
